Ðǿմ«Ã½and the European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR) leadership met on 16 July at the 2025 Ðǿմ«Ã½World Congress in Seoul to discuss shared priorities and explore future collaborations. The meeting was attended by Ðǿմ«Ã½President Yuko Kasuya, ECPR Chair Daniela Irrera, Ðǿմ«Ã½Executive Director Kim Fontaine-Skronski, and WC2027 Local Organizing Committee Co-Chair Raffaele Marchetti.

Since the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding at the 2023 Ðǿմ«Ã½World Congress in Buenos Aires, the long-standing partnership between Ðǿմ«Ã½and ECPR has continued to grow on several fronts. This meeting aimed to further strengthen cooperation and foster dialogue between the two leading academic organizations in political science.

Discussions focused on the growing impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on political science research and publishing, as well as opportunities for collaboration on developing shared AI guidelines with other major political science associations.

The participants also explored opportunities to expand IPSA-ECPR collaboration at upcoming events, including the 2025 ECPR General Conference in Thessaloniki (26–29 August) and the 2027 Ðǿմ«Ã½World Congress in Rome, where jointly organized partner sessions are being planned.
