We are pleased to announce that Ðǿմ«Ã½and the Latin American Political Science Association (ALACIP) have officially signed an agreement to enhance their academic cooperation. The signing ceremony was held on 23 April at the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina in Buenos Aires after the meet and greet between the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of the 2023 World Congress of Political Science and Ðǿմ«Ã½Executive Committee members. The memorandum of understanding was signed by Ðǿմ«Ã½President Dianne Pinderhughes and ALACIP Secretary-General Daniel Buquet, who is also a LOC member. Discussions aimed at formalizing the collaboration between Ðǿմ«Ã½and ALACIP were initiated by Past President Marianne Kneuer.

The MoU establishes an official bilateral agreement between the two associations, allowing them to further their existing collaboration on several fronts. This bilateral agreement will allow Ðǿմ«Ã½and ALACIP to organize academic panels and workshops at each other’s main events (the Ðǿմ«Ã½World Congress of Political Science and the ALACIP Congress).

ALACIP is a non-profit international scientific organization consisting of academics, researchers, and professionals to promote the development of political science in Latin America and the Caribbean. The official languages of ALACIP are Spanish and Portuguese. ALACIP became an Ðǿմ«Ã½Collective member in 2019.
